Catoxymag N Suspension is taken with food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Catoxymag N Suspension is a combination of four medicines: Aluminium Hydroxide, Magnesium, Simethicone and Alginic Acid. Aluminum hydroxide and magnesium neutralize the excess acid in stomach. Simethicone is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas. Alginic acid forms a thick foam in the stomach which acts as a barrier to reflux (acid going up to the food pipe).
